Daniel Clowes's Ghost World - The way in which the two main characters are depicted judging people they encounter, giving them names by the way they act.

Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window - Like the characters of Ghost World, Rear Window tells the story of a man who observes the world through a window in his house, looking out at people and giving them names relating to their behaviour and actions.
